Windows Live Messenger Has Finally Downgraded Its Scribbling Beyond Any Kind Of Useful Purpose.

For some mysterious reason, WLMessenger has been systematically reducing the number of inkstrokes available on each sent message.

The last two or three updates have taken it to another level though.

Up until version 8.5 Messenger users were able to post pretty detailed sketches, a real boon amidst artist collectives. This feature was an extension of the handwriting tool, and through it you could provide basic sketches to large groups of your friends. A greater amount of ink strokes simply meant greater lag for the specific message.

Now, large elaborate sketches are simply forbidden.

An early solution (read:one not working three days ago) was uninstalling the newest WLMessenger (14pointsomething) and reinstalling the 8.5 version.
Even when this was viable though, it meant that ALL contacts would be lost during the uninstall. If you forgot to add in one contact out of two hundred, tough luck. You lost it forever.

Microsoft tech support has been proven completely useless. Google "Your ink message could not be delivered to all recipients", and you'll see at least ten official Microsoft tech support people who simply asked for the specific user's Messenger version's info, told the user to remove all add-ons (most users had no add-ons), and when that happened they told the user that they'd forward the message and answer shortly. So far, NO ANSWER WHATSOEVER.

I was wondering if ANYONE could investigate the problem and come up with an official answer, or even better, a solution.
